Restaurants
Cheese Burger Mai Tais & Rock N Roll - Lots of fun and juicy 100%
natural Meyer Angus Beef cheeseburgers. Reservations recommended.
Joes Bar & Grill -
With friendly service, a great view of Lanai, and such dishes as New
York strip steak with caramelized onions, wild mushrooms, and
Gorgonzola cheese crumble, there are lots of reasons to stop in at
this spacious, breezy spot. Owners Joe and Bev Gannon, who run the
immensely popular Haliimaile General Store, have brought their flair
for food home to roost in this comfortable treetop-level restaurant
at the Wailea Tennis Club, where you can dine while watching court
action from a balcony seat. -- Fodors.com Longhis - For nearly 30
years, Longhis has been pleasing Maui diners with award-winning
preparations of luscious appetizers, fresh seafood, pasta, and
steak.
Nicks Fishmarket -
This romantic spot serves fresh seafood in the simplest
preparations: mahimahi with Kula-corn relish, ahi pepper fillet, and
opakapaka with rock shrimp in a lemon-butter-caper sauce. Everyone
seems to love the Greek Maui Wowie salad made with local onions,
tomatoes, avocado, feta cheese, and bay shrimp. Service is somewhat
formal, but it befits the beautiful food presentations and extensive
wine list. -- Fodors.com
Ruths Chris
Steakhouse - Ruths Chris specializes in the finest custom-aged
Midwestern beef available anywhere. Cuts are broiled at exactly at
1,800 degrees to lock in the corn-fed flavor. And your steak is
served sizzling on a heated plate to keep it piping hot while youre
feasting. Enjoy the extensive wine list and delightful desserts.
Spago - Celebrity
chef and owner Wolfgang Puck wisely brought his fame to this
gorgeous locale. Giant sea-anemone prints, modern-art-inspired
lamps, and views of the shoreline give diners something to look at
while waiting. The solid menu delivers with dishes like seared
scallops with asparagus and pohole (fiddlehead fern) shoots, and "chinois"
lamb chops with Hunan eggplant. The beef dish, with braised celery,
Armagnac, and horseradish potatoes, may be the islands priciest but
devotees swear its worth every cent. -- Fodors.com Tommy Bahama
Tropical Cafe - Tommy Bahama is the purveyor of the island lifestyle
from fashion to home furnishings to casual fine dining.
