Polynesian Cultural Center

Celebrate and learn about the traditional Polynesian culture with the destination named Hawaii’s Favorite Visitors Attraction. This unique theme park features “villages” of each of the different Polynesian islands: Hawaii, Fiji, Samoa, Tahiti, Aotearoa (New Zealand), Tonga, and the Marquesas Islands. While touring these villages you can learn about the cultures, watch shows, learn crafts and games, and meet actual young people that have traveled from these islands to work in the park. The center also offers a Luau, special nighttime reviews, an IMAX theater, and a dance pageant on the river from canoes.

Whale Watching and Dinner Cruises

During the winter months, see spectacular sights of the humpback whales playing in Hawaii’s coastal waters. These gentle giants migrate from Alaska to breed and give birth in the warm waters of the islands, and during the day, many different boats offer whale-watching cruises right off the coast. At night, nothing could be more romantic than enjoying the stars at sea with a sunset cruise. Dinner cruise menus range from budget friendly buffets to a multi course steak and lobster dinner, and have hula shows and local musicians to entertain you as you dine.

Horseback Riding

Experience relaxing beach rides, trails through lush rainforests, and help Paniolos (Hawaiian cowboys) at real cattle ranches. Each island offers very different experiences for the beginner or the horse savvy, and rides can last as long as you want anywhere from a half-hour, to all day rides that stop at waterfalls for lunch.

Authentic Hawaiian Luaus

Luau’s are the must-do of any Hawaiian vacation. The food is tantalizing, offering freshly steamed kalua pig from an underground imu (Hawaiian oven), salty lomi salmon (a cold salad of salmon, tomatoes, and onions, sweet haupia (a coconut pudding), and the ever famous taro poi. And what’s a Luau without the swaying of a hula girl’s hips, brilliant fire dances, and classic Hawaiian music from the ukulele. Enjoy a myriad of flavors and cultural entertainment at a nighttime feast.

Kayak Adventures

The Na Pali Coast on Kauai is stunning natural beauty, nearly inaccessible to visitors. The perfect way to explore these majestic, green sea cliffs dropping thousands of feet into the deep blue sea is with a guided kayak tour. This once in a life time adventure lets you discover hidden sea caves, take a dip in the secluded sapphire waters, and observe ocean wildlife such as dolphins and turtles. If you’re not visiting Kauai, some of the other islands offer kayak tours as well, to small coastal islands and blossoming coral reefs.

Island Tours

Whatever island you choose to vacation on, you can always find a day tour to take you to the best sights and spots on the island. Or, take a one day trip to another island.  On Oahu, there is much to see besides Pearl Harbor, such as the famous surfing venue North Shore and the beautiful mountain ranges and sparkling beaches of the windward side.

Maui offers spectacular sunrises from the summit of Haleakala and scenic journeys to remote Hana to see the quaint Hawaiian town and seven sacred pools. Visit the Volcanic National Park to see active volcanoes, the observatories and snow capped peaks of Mauna Kea, and the beautiful Kohala coast on day tours of the Big Island.
